This is our detailed product review for the Stanley TRE550Z Electric Staple/Brad Nail Gun.
Our reviews are based on in-depth research and product analysis. Let’s dive in!
- Electric, 18-gauge staple/Brad Nail gun
- Lightweight, compact design and easy to use
Stanley's TRE550Z electric stapler is efficient, powerful, and even powerful enough to use nails (but not staples) as it was designed for. The dual power lever cycles between high and low speed (1,200 strokes per minute high speed, 1,150 strokes per minute low) and there are no separate power switches on the gun's body, tripling Stanley's efficiency software: the gun is on only when you need it.
The 6-volt Lithium battery powers the 1,200 stroke-per-minute fastener set, the rifle has a power cord to allow you get the job done without having to hunt for an outlet. It's equipped with a high safety threshold to help ensure your satisfaction no matter the job, and it comes with a Work Smart blade to help you keep a neat job site.
The kit includes a brad-nailer, eight boxes of brad nails (five 2-3/4-inch long brads, five 3-inch brads), the blade, a large hammer and a hard plastic carrying case. It requires a 12-volt electrical system but not a battery.
All standard brad nailer staples are compatible with the Sharpshooter staples, which walk the line between high and low-speed staplers, but you'll want to purchase additional staples to handle use with the brad-nailer head.
