Does the good reputation hold up or not? Let’s find out!
- Adjustable lighting
- Magnifies as you get closer to the page
- May require an adjustment period
It's been said that a book light isn't really a book light without a flexible arm, and the Mighty Bright 40511 XtraFlex2 Book Light is no exception.
The XtraFlex2 is impressive on both ends of the light spectrum — the long arm is strategically positioned to get light to your book and the aluminum standard arm has a flexible hinge that makes the light easy to arrange. The tripod base offers a bit more versatility – it can be set on a table or used to set the light on a desk.
The 395-lumen lights provide bright, even light, and the technology used to create the beam achieves even illumination of each page. The reading light has a difference in power settings between the LED bulbs (blue light helps your eyes stay healthier) and the upper light (its tinted light is good for outside use and fading eyes).
I found I found that I could lay the light on the top of my book and get a good read easily. I was also able to hang the light up in a conference room by setting it on my desk, and it was bright enough to prevent me from squinting at my work while using a computer.
